But but but he. never made LSU look bad in TE press..
Student would include at some point going to class, which he said that he never did.
The 21-year-old said he doesn’t believe there’s any point in having athletes as talented as himself spend a year in college.
“I think no. I think I would’ve learned a lot more being around professional athletes. Looking back at it now, I don’t even really know what I learned financially or just being a person at LSU. I think I’ve learned a lot more this whole year, being in Philly and being a pro than I did in LSU.”
Simmons continued:
“It’s a dirty business. You have to put up with it, but at the same time, it just taught me a lot. I have an image and people wanted to use that, but now I have the opportunity to control that and what I do and who I work with. It helped me. At the same time, I feel like it was really sneaky, kind of.”
He could have played professionally 1 year elsewhere and been drafted, BUT HE CHOSE TO COME TO LSU. He CHOSE THAT KNOWING THE RULES.

He could have kept his mouth shut like a professional. He ain’t Shawn Kemp, LeBron or Kobe. AD is twice the player he is, so you hear him bitching about going to UK?

Apparently people on here don’t think he said negative things about LSU.
Johnny Jones isn’t anywhere in that quote. It’s LSU.
That’s what pisses me off.

I agree with you though
I think Simmons is a phenomenal talent but yea his personality and demeanor rubs the wrong way
I don't hate him just my opinion on him

I would completely support him - no questions asked had he not did what he did on TV. His had to know his attack on the NCAA would cause LSU to look bad.
JJ was fired, but the damage is done.

Who do I dislike worse? Ben Simmons or Lester Earl? Ben Simmons doesn't know what it's like to even live a real day in a real life. All that puss did was live on the road in tournament basketball.

this kid needs to know that he will meet the same people on the way down as he did on the way up

Yeah but you probably don't know what it's like to develop yourself into a NBA basketball player.

He is making over $6 million a year right now. And "He's the 174th best-paid NBA player this year." He is slated to make $10.5 million in 20-21. That's just salary and doesn't include endorsements.
There is no "way down" for someone earning that much money unless he is being robbed by the people he trusts.

I think the Simmons haters are missing the point.
I don’t think he’s bashing LSU. He is bashing the one and done process. And it is a joke.
And playing for Johnny Jones was a joke too.
Ben Simmons is a very special talent. Without injuries, he will at the very least be a superstar.
Could very well be HOF type player.
I’m happy that he played for LSU.

Simmons was an idiot for even coming here. What the hell did he expect?
Posted on 2/15/18 at 8:51 pm to Tigertown in ATL
Yep...but he could have gone to any school he wanted to.
If nothing else the publicity was good for LSU BB

What does it have to do with the opening a potential opportunity for an NCAA inquiry?
