Silly question - is it mandatory for announcers to have a catch phrase for homeruns?

First - yay for the HR. Tigers take the lead.

But - I noticed that the annoucer used the same "you can pucker up and kiss that baby goodbye" language for both of LSU's Homeruns.

Does every announcer have a set phrase he says after every home run?

Seems like I remember hearing one announcer a long time ago using something like "It's another gone pecan" or something like that.

It is stale and stupid. Change it up every few games or so. There is no spontaneity in it. Manufactured sounding.

Exactly.

He was using that same schtick when he was radio announcing Alexandria Aces’ games in the mid-nineties in Cenla.

It is high!

It is far!

It . . . is . . . GONE!

Another A-Bomb from A-Rod, and the Yankees lead 2-1.

Yes, it is mandatory for all announcers to have a catch phrase. If they do not have a catch phrase, they can not apply for the job.
