So far if Burrow were to win the Heisman without playing another down. He would be 7th on the list of total yards at 4,614.

With at least 2 and very possibly 3 games remaining on the schedule Joe would only need 408 more total yards to have the most total yards of any Heisman in history (5022 - Ty Detmer in 1990).

He is also currently 3rd on the list on yards per play.
8th in TDs. (10 more needed to take the lead)

And yet somehow the media is trying to force a "race".
This year is barely 80% over for Burrow and its already historic what he is doing/has done.

Not a fair comparison. 12 games to 15 games.

That is why I listed where he currently stands at the end of the 12 game season....

Also you may want to tell that to the Heisman Trust as they currently do not have any way to differentiate between number of games played for any of the records (where I got all of these stats).

Meh. Rules change. The record will still stand. That’s why they make asterisks.

It took Hank Aaron almost 3,000 more ABs to hit one more HR than Babe Ruth. It took Emmitt Smith almost 500 more carries to equal Jim Brown's yardage, but no asterisks. Joe should have no asterisks either!
