Wide Receivers as Good as Advertised
quote:
It’s been led by Malik Nabers throughout camp. The sophomore wideout has certainly made the jump we’ve been expecting and is prepared to be LSU’s WR2 alongside Kayshon Boutte. A duo of Nabers and Boutte will be something special this season no matter who is throwing them the football.
Defensive Starters Emerging
quote:
The linebackers, led by Mike Jones Jr. and Greg Penn, are starting to show some depth. With Virginia transfer West Weeks and freshman Harold Perkins looking the part, defensive coordinator Matt House has a number of options to choose from. That also includes senior Micah Baskerville.
In the secondary, Jarrick Bernard-Converse and Colby Richardson are separating themselves from the pack, but Louisiana transfer Mekhi Garner and Ohio State transfer Sevyn Banks are still in the mix. Come the Sept. 4 season opener, this is a position group to monitor down the stretch.
Offensive Line Rotations
quote:
Wednesday’s scrimmage shined light on the offensive line situation. The first-team has remained the same with:
LT: Will Campbell
LG: Tre’Mond Shorts
C: Garrett Dellinger
RG: Miles Frazier
RT: Anthony Bradford

Glad to hear the progress on the LBs and CBs.
I do hope we can get Bech healthy. I would hate for him to be hampered going into the season as I think he’s a great talent as well. Fortunately this year we are stacked at WR so we can absorb a missing guy or two.

Got a feeling Dellinger is gonna be huge and the OL is gonna be the best in recent years.

Smart to sit him out. Shin splints can be serious but should not be recurring. If in fact it is shin splints then he should be GTG

Captain, we gonna sling it arent we?
My big takeaway from yesterday was the presser. BK looked like a man who liked what he saw in the scrimmage. Very calm and relaxed, as if he is pleased with where we are right now.

I feel like Mike Jones is finally is a situation where he can shine.

All those tools and a QB can that can turn a broken play into a first down. I am liking the Daniels version of this offense more and more. Just protect the ball young man.

Nabers is going to be the one that breaks out. He's going to be a real issue

When you have a “situation” that often implies a problem. Guessing the fumbled snaps at center being the “situation”

Whats so great about nabers also is his route running ability to go over the top and demand help from the safety. A lot of times it opens up someone underneath. He is going to be very good!

Why are you being a situation?

So they failed to mention anything about the QBs...?

7-5 my arse.
Our WRs are good but tbh they aren’t going against real elite cbs in practice
I’m still saying 9 wins at most

With the lack of depth in a lot of important places we are only an injury or 2 from having holes that can be exposed. I am betting on 8-4 this year
