Once we realized UCLA was playing week 0 we needed to rearrange our nonconference to avoid that imbalance.

It’s still no excuse, but as a general rule you shouldn’t open with any P5 school thats already played a game.

You think the outcome is any different? This team is not good. This coaching staff is god awful.

They always say the biggest improvement is from games 1-2. Coulda been an 11pt difference, who knows?

Would not have mattered. When you have two years of confusion, why you think one game will let you figure it out.l? If you can’t teach a safety or lbr on whom to cover or what gap to fill in 2020, spring and fall camp, what makes you think they will know in week two?

True, you should never schedule a quality team that has played the week before. Was a big mistake.

Underhanded, backward, and blind Hail Mary's are indicative of problems more than a rent-a-win could solve.

I hate it but the biggest issues with LSU Football right now is horrible coaching & player development. So 1 tune up game versus a “McNeese State or ULM or Hawaii wouldn’t have & won’t make much of a difference!!

UCLA whipped us at the LOS on both sides of the ball. You can say what you like about Leslie Miles but (other than Bama) CLMs teams were rarely, if ever, more physically dominant “in the trenches”!

O is stupid. If the other team is playing early then you should too otherwise you are at a disadvantage.

Why doesn't Bama need a tune up game?

They look amazing 13 years in a row

It doesn't matter who is on staff...

Or if they are fielding a new starting QB

They have a 'process', not a binder?

A tune up game wouldn't have mattered. Same issues from last year that the coaching staff had a year of film on and didn't fix. Linebacker play and offensive line are terrible. A tune up game doesn't fix that if a year and spring and summer camps don't.

Bingo... Just not sure what the coaches are looking at...
