Should WW bring someone in to run the Pack Line Defense next year?

Virginia won the championship last year. San Diego St is undefeated. Both run Pack Line. I know the idea centers around clogging the paint but, it's extremely effective on the perimeter because it focuses on tight, on-ball pressure/double teams.

We are pretty woeful defensively. I love Will Wade and I do not want to see him go for simply the turnaround we've seen on offense.

I think this program (with our athletes) would thrive in a pack line defense system.

I think it's a great defense to replicate and if a coach could come in and install it (along with providing an increase in intensity on defense) we would be looking at a truly dominant force next year with O'neal and Leblanc coming in.

Bring back the Loyola Marymount offense. That would pack the PMAC.

I doubt that. If we are, it looks like a complete abomination.

We are supposedly running a pac line defense. The PAC line clogs the lane and invites jump shots/three pointers.

After a couple of side to side rotations of the ball it becomes impossible to close out three point shooters..

Anyway our on ball defense is not that good either.

We are asking defenders on the off ball side to,keep one foot in the lane. Any kind of penetration and or decent skip pass creates an open shot. There is no way to make that rotation work. Especially with a short bench.

Sure on ball defense is tight but backside shooters are left wide open and the quick rotation (and help on drives) has been killing us lately.

Does not every team basically run a variation of the Loyola Marymount? It’s basically a transition spacing set. Not really groundbreaking
