.. at the one yard line instead of trying to score a TD? This is on his last touchdown. LSU could have almost run out the clock.

Yeah, remember what happened when they had that first TD called back, and we then held them. Also, they had TO’s , even had one extra at the end...Scoring drives were getting quicker and quicker, so you get the TD when you can...

Yes. That would have been an extremely smart play. I believe we were up six. A field goal ices it. Down the ball on the one; take three knees; then kick a field goal that is a 99.5% probability play. That would have iced the game. But I have to admit I wasn’t thinking that as Jefferson raced toward the goal line.

Only way that would work is if Texas didn’t have any timeouts. Since they had all three I believe by not scoring you are giving them another chance to make a stop.
