early and mid-season chase didn't have this kind of movement on his fastball

he's downright nasty now that it's moving the way he wants it to

He has gone super saiyan. People forgot he was coming off a serious injury and it would take some time for him to get back to form. I'm hoping it continues!

And to think a vocal contingent of posters wanted him to never pitch again due to control issues.

Feel like he's best suited as a closer

Reminds me somewhat of Mason Miller for the A's

Coming off of injury he just couldn’t find it.
Moving to the pen took some of the pressure off and he found his stuff.

Dude has been impressive.

I just think it was more to the fact he did not pitch for an entire year and a half. It takes time to have the control needed to get out SEC hitters.

He always had elite stuff now he is hitting his spots..

Well being a full recover from Tonmy John runs anywhere between a year & a half to 2 years he's right on schedule to be fully healthy this season and really took him until the back end of the season to really begin to get back to form! So in Mt humble opinion he is really hitting his peak right now in the Tourney! And timing couldn't be better because we're gonna need him to raise that ??

I mean, he seems to be more accurate, but didn't six batters hit the ball off of him in the last two innings?

Do you understand what that means for a pitcher?

4 rollover outs

He is throwing strikes instead of walking everyone. That always helps

It's sumin special when bases are loaded and it's getting a bit worrisome and he goes out and throws one stinking pitch and shuts it up. Next two pitches are outs as well. And watching those pitches on the final out, those don't look like anyone else's pitches I've seen in omaha. If this is how he's going to pitch, good luck everybody else.
