He means they didn't approve the question with him... He knew they talked to Blue (it was a media session), didn't know they were going to ask that question until they did.

I dont give a shite about what Blue said about "teh gay" and neither should anybody else. Last time I checked its a free country and you can say/feel/think how you please.
That "newspaper" is beyond laughable, especially with the little piece that did on the gun bill that was filled with erroneous information that could've been fact checked in about 20minutes.

I don't think you understand what this means. He's free to say whatever he likes, but that doesn't mean that there are not consequences for his statements. Being a free country means that other people can criticize his statements.

Well that's typical of them. Used to deal with them in the past. Did about 10 interviews with them and only one article was quoted correctly and told with the intent of my quotes. That correct interview was done by a summer journalist who interestingly enough wasnt offered a position for the full semester daily paper.

Which is why the question was bullshite to begin with. It's common courtesy to give a heads up when asking off the field questions, every other publication knows this.
It was asked with the intent of tripping up a player who isn't used to dealing with that line of questioning. Crappy move from the school paper.

Oh yea don't get me wrong, they aren't good at their jobs. But they aren't to blame for reporting on this.

The link doesn't work. I am working from memory. Hairston and Trae Thomas answered the question perfectly. Blue is a 22 year old senior and a year away from being drafted in the NFL. It isn't rocket science. Just choose not to do the interview.
