They are privileges, not rights. If I have a blog, am I due media privileges and access? You can sue for anything, it doesn't mean you will win. If you want to be litigious, maybe Alfred Blue should sue for slander. Doesn't mean he will win...
The Reveille, participated in unethical journalism. You block all access to the entire staff. You don't like it, tough. Actions have consequences. The Reveille intentionally exploited a student athlete when it published the article. The journalists were not alone. The editor and supervising professor also should be held accountable. Its easier to rescind privileges to one source than selectively identifying individuals.
The Reveille is not a syndicated publishing. Hate to break this to you, LSU athletics does not need the Reveille.

I don't know, seems like slander to me. Ok, libel.
Google Alfred Blue, and a bunch of articles on this subject come up, along with tons of comments calling Blue an idiot and other things. Blue did nothing wrong and this person fabricated an entire article out of it.

Your right, I didn't write for a crappy student newspaper. Appears like you did.... Sorry to hear you wasted you time in college earning a journalism degree that isn't worth the paper it's written on.
I do know that all University activities have university advisors. Advisors/supervising profs is semantics. You probably don't have an idea of how the real world works. Do you think BPs CEO had anything to do with the decisions on the Macando? I'm sure the advisor receives some compensation for his participation. Maybe he should have advised on ethics a little more.

At the end of the day, the Reveille and its authors are wrong. The more I think about it, I hope Blue Sue them and cause them stress. I'm not normally litigious in nature, but these writers went after Blue and potentially hurt his future draft value. There is financial damage associated with a lower draft position. They did it intentionally to advance either their agenda or careers. In addition they were bragging about it on twitter.
The lack of ethics in journalism is disgusting. You can't trust anything you read. It's about grabbing views/hits to sell advertising now. Sensationalism versus reporting.
The athletic department should protect its student athletes. Rescinding Reveille media credentials seems fair and would be a step in the right direction.

Another observation:
The fact that so many here were willing to jump Blue's arse without the facts further proves PC and the idiots who push it have won.
And in most cases, if they (the PC pushers) have nothing, they will simply make it up....and most of the public will fall for it.
The power of the media, no matter how small the outlet, is really dangerous, especially when it is a corrupt media.

Wow you couldnt be more wrong. You guys are worse than the frick that wrote the Article. I knew this was bullshite from the second i read the artcile. Maybe you shouldnt just jump to conclusions without knowing what Blue actually said. Of course he took his comments out of context. It's the fricking Reveille and this is not the first time this has happened.
