Trey hasn't been great in three hole. I'd look for Jay to shake up the line up and put him in a slot to see some better pitches.

I think what you saw yesterday will be the batting order going forward so you might be disappointed. Though I could see JJ sliding Trey back up to 1 and shifting Crews and White down to 2 & 3 with Travinski at 4 protecting White.

Morgan has 1 hit in the regional. Fouling everything off and then popping up to the infield. He’s due. How bout the bottom of the lineup though. Pearson hitting a HR!?!? Trav still in rare form. I’d move him to cleanup.

ETA: I thought Trav was hitting 5 yesterday. Maybe that was the Tulane game.

Trey needs to be in the 5-hole.

Yeah, it's ridiculous where JJ has him hitting in the lineup. Just curious, where do you think he was hitting yesterday?

He’s due.

We've been saying that about Thompson and Dugas now for a couple of months.

I don't think "he's due" is a good reason to keep him where he is in the lineup.

That said, I don't think much changes with the lineup, unless Dugas is out to get some rest.

This is what needs to happen.

Tre isn't striking out though. Honestly if he was up in White's spot with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs he may have gotten a run in. I'm not worried about him, I think he's due.

I'd probably move him to leadoff though so we can get Crews/Tanks/Trav at 2/3/4. If we do that then the 9 hole needs to be a righty who can get on base so I probably put Dugas there. They have 3 LHP that have only thrown a combined 15 pitches this weekend so you gotta expect to see some of them. I don't like the idea of Beloso, Jobert, Thompson, Pearson all batting next to each other so maybe you move Beloso or Jobert in front of Travinski. Or maybe this is where you get Jones in the lineup

Jay's batting order is questionable... he requested too much on statistical data!

Don't change what's working!! Baseball is baseball. Some guys will have off days but they are too good for it to last. Relax, trust Jay!
