Purple jerseys once again become commonplace couture for the Tiger football team?
I see three consecutive games on the schedule, which if they follow recent trends, could feature Tigers in their purple garb: Miss. St., Syracuse, and Troy.
I know this topic is apropos to nothing, but it's something to contemplate in the dog days of summer.

I think a better question is will white helmets and pants make an appearance for the 3rd straight season and become commonplace

I was always under the thought that it shouldn't matter what color jerseys we wear.
That bull about always trying to play every game in white jerseys because of tradition is ridiculous.
How about we start a new tradition. We play the game, and expect to win, no matter what color jersey is worn.

We have tradition for a reason: every 5 yards marked, night games, U shaped goal posts, and white jerseys. It sets us apart from all the other schools.

I love the Purple jersey's with Canary Yellow (LSU Gold) helmets and pants.
I hate the Purple jersey's with White helmets and pants! (This aint TCU or Northwestern)
Wanna wear White helmets and pants, wear them with a Gold jersey. (The opposite of the G-W-G traditional uni) or the All-White
BTW, LSU has never worn a W-G-W combo in a game with traditional shoulder stripes on the jerseys. The few times W-G-W were worn, there were no shoulder stripes, just a solid gold jersey.

Black is not an LSU color. That would, however, fit right in at a SWAC game.

I agree that purple jerseys should be worn with gold pants and helmets (great looking combination) and NEVER with white pants and headgear.
Purple jerseys with white pants/helmets clash distastefully. It's the fashion equivalent of putting cilantro in pasta sauce.

White jerseys are lame and should only be worn for road games. LSU's purple jersey looks the best by far.
