I may be showing some bias for West Monroe but i think he easily is our best olineman in the nfl. Is there an argument for anyone else? Maybe Tre Turner?

Anyone else have a 12 year left tackle NFL career?
Sounds like you are arguing with a moron.

Fun fact - Whitworth was he number 2 Olineman in the country coming out of high school.

Alan Faneca and Kevin Mawae say hello.

Faneca
9× Pro Bowl (2001–2009)
6× First-team All-Pro (2001, 2002, 2004–2007)
2× Second-team All-Pro (2003, 2008)

Mawae
8× Pro Bowl (1999–2004, 2008, 2009)
7× First-team All-Pro (1999–2002, 2004, 2007, 2008)
Second-team All-Pro (1998)

Whitworth
2× Pro Bowl (2012, 2015)
2x First-team All-Pro (2010, 2015)

I mean, who is second? Trai Turner made a pro bowl. Whitworth made 2.

Heck, Whitworth leads the second tier of LSU GOAT Offensive linemen - after Faneca and Mawae - who has as good a resume, ever? Might be 3rd best all time, if the criteria is NFL career for an OLineman out of LSU.

For 7 out of 8 seasons in the 1990s, LSU's offensive line was led by a future NFL hall of fame lineman - 1990 - 1993 (Mawae) and 1995 - 1997 (Faneca) - those 7 seasons, LSU went 43-35-1(55% winning) - should have been better, IMHO.

That would be a tough sell, Alan Faneca would have been a Hall of Famer if he could have played just a bit longer. He may have had the best OL Super Bowl performance of all time (or easily top 5) in Super Bowl XL.

I'd probably agree with you for after 2000 but of all time no. Alan faneca and Kevin mawae had better NFL careers, more pro bowls, championships, etc. Andrew was one of my favorites though.

Andrew Whitworth and Alan Faneca are hands down the best o lineman in LSU history imo. Ciron Black was a quality left tackle for all four years at LSU to.

I think Ben Wilkerson would be in the discussion, along with Rudy Niswanger.

Love Big Pete, but he didn't have the career Whitworth had.
