Everybody likes to say that he is the greatest recruiter ever. So here is my question. Right now it is easy for him to recruit because he could talk about all of his championships. What made him a good recruiter at LSU at a time when we weren't very good. Because he has no Personality, hes not funny, hes not someone you would want to be around.
So how did he recruit at lsu early. Was the state just that talent rich?

He broke it down into “ The Process” it’s easy to understand and LSU was still a great brand in a very fertile area. His best teams were mainly local kids who wanted to stay here anyway.

You hire good assistants and you get LSU to put money into recruiting and facilities. You also make sure your best players are no longer playing for the Florida schools.

Saban did great, but Les was the one that really went ham in recruiting. It started with dinardo and got better and better. Social media and games being on tv helped a lot.

LSU has been able to grab players from all over to fill positions if Louisiana was down.

Also he sold his NFL pedigree and he mainly stuck to Louisiana and east Texas

Those are all just your opinions, and I would be willing to bet everybody who committed to play for him feels oppositley. shite, I just heard an interview with Jacobs where he was talking about Sabans humor. I would guess you have no clue about Saban, other than what you've seen on TV or heard from random people.

Bear Bryant once said he could win the National Championship with Louisiana’s first and second team.Thats the type of players we have in Louisiana.

Wrong. I talk to one of his former players about a year ago who told me hes a straight arse hole. Now understand he respects him because hes a great coach. But he is an arse hole

He’s not encumbered with a sense of wrongdoing when it comes to extending benefits to recruits and their families. He knows it’s a business. He treats it accordingly.

Saban has often said the untapped talent in Louisiana was why, or a primary reason, he came here. At the time, most of Louisiana's best players were playing at Miami, FSU, and other programs strong at that time.

His main declaration on hiring was, if we close the borders in regards to recruiting, we'll win championships here.
