Steve Shaw, SEC Director of Officiating, declined to appear on Mascona’s show Monday. So sad the SEC Director of Officiating is to timid to discuss controversial calls made by the people he hires and grades each week. Shaw should desire transparency defending any questionable call made by any SEC football official unless there is something to hide.

Why does Shaw continue to hide in his SEC Headquarters offfice when controversy occurs due to a SEC officials call? The answer lies in Shaw’s education at the University of Alabama. Once a gump, always a gump.

Another black mark against them. There is a total lack of transparency in this process. They are like the parent that says “Because I said so!”

So how does this ever change? Do we just let the bama bias go on forever? Someone needs to make a change

I am sure we could get several other schools to participate in this. Start with Auburn.

I think it is fair to ask Steve Shaw, Head of SEC Officiating to step down or be reassigned. The fact that he is an Alabama alum should disqualify him for this due to the conflict of interest.

SEC office moves out of Alabama, Complete staff change - top to bottom or LSU should leave SEC - things will never change otherwise, only fools think otherwise

I agree....it either becomes 100% neutral or LSU leaves the SEC...I am totally in favor of putting a hard stop to this shite.
If you think the REC only pays off The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa players and their families you are delusional.

Maybe all of us are starting the movement to force them to change some things. This attention is a good thing.

Our goals should be: there should not be a head of officiating that graduated from ANY SEC school, the targeting rule must be changed, given different levels, etc. The BAMASEC HQ needs to be relocated and staffed with either an even representation of all of the SEC Schools are from Non-SEC schools.

They MUST have a transparent/recorded record of their review process for calls. They must force BAma to abide by the same rules as the rest of us. The permanent opponent issue/scheduling needs to be fixed. Get rid of divisions and just have the top two teams play for the SEC Chsmpionship every year!

If none of those changes happen, When we face Alabama, and in the weeks prior to Alabama, we should request outside officials, Or, just maybe we start exploring life outside of this Conference. Geaux Tigers!

great start !

then go back to BCS formula so the COMMITTEE can not be influenced...and there csan be team movement.
4 teams or 6 teams #1 and #2 with a bye.
...the COMMITTEE is influenced by Athletic Directors and Presidents
