Saints director of sports medicine Beau Lowery is expected to return to LSU to become the school’s director of sports medicine, sources told FOX 8 sports. The move is pending administrative approval.
Lowery was LSU’s associate athletic trainer from 2004-2010. He’s been with the Saints for the last nine seasons and was promoted to his current title in 2017.
Lowery will replace longtime Tigers head trainer Jack Marucci, who is moving into the new role of Director of Performance Innovation which focuses on sports science.

Lowry is excellent. He was there during my TJ rehab. I got a few stories from that summer.

I've met Beau a few times. Super nice guy. I believe his family never left BR and he commuted to NO while with the saints. I'm sure that got old and his hours during the season were miserable.

I’ve always been neutral on the Saints, but after that bullshite SP pulled I hope they go 0–16 next year

I don't get the Saints hate they held on to a coach they wanted to keep during an off-season when they lost half of their staff. We would expect LSU to do the same thing.

Why should Sean Payton care about LSU in any way? The Saints are his employer, so his job is to do whats best for the Saints, not LSU. And that includes trying to retain good coaches on his staff, so he gave Nielsen a new contract and a promotion. Coach O is the one you should be mad at for that situation for not getting the job done and acting like it was a done deal before the deal was done as well as not knowing about the clause in Nielsen's contract.
