Ken Norton Jr could be without a job. Started college coaching career with Pete Carroll, Ed O's mentor, at USC and then followed him to the Seahawks as LB coach (Norton was instrumental in the development of the Seattle Seahawks star linebacker group consisting of All-Pro Bobby Wagner, Pro Bowler K.J. Wright, Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith, special teams captain Heath Farwell, veteran Leroy Hill and pass rush specialist Bruce Irvin).

Got fired from the Raiders (He was fired by head coach Jack Del Rio on November 21, 2017, two days after the Raiders suffered a blowout 33 to 8 loss to the New England Patriots and the defense having not intercepted a pass in 11 weeks.) and then had a short stint at the Niners, before eventually returning to the Seahawks as DC.

I dont know how good or bad Norton is, but it is known Ed Orgeron asks Carroll for advice often. Hopefully he is not forced or suggested this hire if LSU does decide to move on from Pelini eventually.

Im not suggesting we hire him, just giving a heads up that he MAY be an option because of that O and Pete connection. I want O to go out of his comfort zone and go get who's best. Not someone who he would be friendly with.

I used to think someone who got fired from the NFL would be good for college, but I've come to see a bad coach is a bad coach regardless of level

Maybe he is suggesting that we skip the hiring part and just go ahead and fire him.

Also as a Seahawks fan, HELL. NO.
Yes the Hawks have lost a lot of talent while he's been the DC. But we still have a good amount of talent on the defense that we shouldn't be the worst in the league. But the defense has been awful every year he's been the DC.
It would be my own personal hell that the Hawks finally dump him only for him to end up at LSU. frick. That.

Better not if they want them extra credits for having a black coach.
