It aint working. It creates pressure to play guys who are not performing.

7 jumped the shark when Giles got it. Same thing with 18 and Clark now. Randomly assign numbers and let the guys perform.

18 was never about being the best player. It was more of a leadership thing.

7 was the playmaker number, and yeah, time to put that to bed.

Starting to seem like more of a curse now, u can blame injury for delpit regression after switching to 7, but what’s with Stevens regression?

18 on offense wasn't being a leader at all on the sideline. He had a towel over his head and spaced himself away from Emery and Davis-Price while the coach was talking to them.

In total agreement! Been a curse for the most part since Miles left. But it could be they should have left Clark where he was last year because you can tell he doesn't want to play the position they but he in. Didn't mean to turn this into a coaching thing but Clark was great on outside. Anyway screw 18 & 7 unless player wants that number!

I hate the 18 thing. Seriously despise it. Wouldn’t want it if I played and already had the number I liked the best to begin with.

Now that 7 number I’d try to steer that jersey towards someone real good. 7 is going to get used anyway because it’s a single digit number, looks cool, and by many is considered a lucky number. I like all the single digit numbers particularly 3.

You just don’t see many people specifically asking for 18. Maybe some Peyton Manning fan because I think he wore 18.

I agree. Said it last night and got blasted but the LSU obsession with jersey numbers is dumb. Nobody else has anything like 18 and 7

It’s always been stupid. Make it a patch.
If I’m a great player, I wouldn’t want someone else’s identity. Who gives a shite what number Matt Mauck wore or if Patrick Peterson wore a certain number.
