Splash hire with Kim Mulky to coach WBB

Next, he will put some heat on PM and Ed O. You guys have to win now.

The AD's reputation is made on the hirings of the football and baseball programs. Thats just the facts. (leaving MBB out of this as we have the right guy)

Look for Ed O to be on a short, short leash as Scott will be looking for any reason to make a change and bring on the next best thing.

Same goes for Paul, I honestly wouldnt be shocked if he made a change after this season. If things continue to trend in the direction the baseball program is going, it will probably happen.

The beauty of having a baton rouge native is that he has the same fire burning inside of him as the rest of us. He will always want to win NOW. Winning isnt everything, its the only thing.
And guess what, if he makes a hire and it doesnt workout fast, look for him to make another change. Hes not the kind of guy thats going to "give it a chance for 4-5 years".

We are thankful to have Scott coming in, a true leader who has the same passion as the average fan.

We aren't firing a coach 2 years removed from a CWS Championship Series appearance. Especially not after a year where we've had 11 injuries. This year is a fluke. If anything, I could see Woodward providing some additional resources to baseball in some capacity.

Ed was one win (one terrible call) away from a 10 win season! I don’t think he will be on any type of short leash this season.

LSU has a 24-15 record (9-7 in SEC)
Going into this weekend LSU is on the bubble of a top 8 seed & predicted to host a regional

There isn’t a baseball coach around that can come in & immediately make this fan base happy

I agree he isn’t getting fired but I don’t agree that this season is a fluke. Even with the injuries this team has no leadership and Paul seems to have no fire. That is unacceptable.

to re-state what i already said, a new AD WANTS TO HAVE HIS TEAM.

The same way a new head coach typically comes in and cleans house and brings on their own OC and DC to fit their mold.

The AD for those that may not get it, is the Head Coach of the Athletic Department.

some of these guys are going to be extremely disappointed when Woodward doesn't overreact and fire every coach the first moment they face adversity or have a negative result. They probably wanted Saban fired after we lost to Florida in 2003.

I highly doubt he's coming in LOOKING for any reason to make a change. IF edO goes 11-1, he won't do anything. Lets allow the damn season to play out before we start pondering who Woodard is going to replace O with for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!! #offsoapbox #lawnofminegettheFoffit

What makes anyone think Kim Mulkey wants to leave Baylor and wants to come to LSU?

Scott Woodward is not going to fire Paul Mainieri after this year. He's also not going to fire Orgeron unless we lose 5 or 6 games (we won't).

God LSU fans are as delusional as ever

You had 6-7 top 10 programs in the last calendar year and you act like Woodward has a ton of work to do. This is a long term deal. Scott Woodward is not worried about football or baseball right now lol. At all.

He will meet with Wade & tell him to get his shite together, if anyone.

It’s okay, Les. There’s no heat on O.

Before Woodward makes any coaching evaluations or changes he must do one thing. Clean house in the LSU compliance department. Take the handcuffs off these coaches and see what they can do.

I disagree with you saying that I am acting like Woodward has a ton of work to do. Please dont put words in my mouth.

He is in a fantastic spot because in reality, he can do nothing as long as the programs win and are successful. But he isnt going to put up with mediocrity and let a program get stale as JA did with dragging out Les Miles. This baseball program is now stale. Sorry, its a FACT.

Football is on the rise, lots of excitement and buzz but if the performance isnt there because of some HC actions or decisions, hes not going to put up with that.
