2014 was probably Romos best year. Granted, the running game and o line were absurd, but that gives me some hope. Romo to Dak is a massive drop off regardless of what the talking heads convince you of.

I think we're all overthinking Linehan's role as PGC relative to what Brady was brought in to do. We may have to be more objective in the assessment of Linehan and realize he may not have been brought in with the same purpose as Brady.

Brady was hired specifically to introduce those spread concepts into the offense last year. He developed that playbook in conjunction with Ensminger and sat next to Ensminger the entire year sharing play calling duties with him. Brady is gone but Ensminger isn't, the playbook still exists, the guy that worked with Brady last year still exists.

Why do we assume that we're trying to recreate Brady's role? We no longer need a Brady to introduce those spread concepts. Maybe Linehan's role as PGC is to be more focused on Brennan and the QBs development and grasp of the playbook

he’s a good coordinator and a smart coach. people pointing at his NFL head coaching record are fricking morons. you don’t get a HC job in the league if you’re not an elite coordinator. granted, most of his success was quite a while ago, so you could maybe question if he’s adapted to the modern game, but as PGC, as long as he’s a very knowledgeable coach that can assist Brennan like Brady did with Burrow then we’re golden.

Personally, I don’t get the hire. He’s a pro-style guy and he’s been around the block a few times. Was hoping for a younger coach that could build on Brady’s momentum from both a spread play calling and mentorship standpoint.

But I trust CEO and E to manage this out.

They are morons. Lets just overlook the fact that a bunch of good college coaches failed in the nfl, like Saban.

On the scalp of Joe Brady to Cam Cameron this feels wya more like a Cameron/Sullivan hire.

I feel like The idea is that we can just maintain the offense with Ensminger as OC, but my concern is once again, we have a 100% old school pro coaching staff trying to run a new age spread offense.

Have to take a wait and see approach. Personally, not feeling it. Hope I'm wrong.
