I don’t care what anyone says, I like Ed Orgeron.

He seems like a great guy and a wonderful family man. It's great to see someone overcome their personal demons and bounce back the way he has. It's a great redemption story for anyone that is struggling or knows someone struggling with something in their lives.

I would expect that coaches have hearts otherwise they wouldn’t be coaching. That doesn’t make them a good coach or the right person for the job. See Exhibit A.

Erin Andrews
If you recall, it was recently revealed that Miles took the time to console another ESPN reporter who’s done plenty of work surrounding SEC football, Holly Rowe, during her bout with cancer.
“He called me five or six times the day before Signing Day to ask when I was going in and what he could do. Just unbelievable sweetness,” Rowe told Sports Illustrated.

I like Coach O and this was a great gesture, but dont think this was something he thought of doing on his own.
He has people that work for him that help build his brand. They think of the idea, write everything up and Coach O signs and approves it.
ETA: I dont mind the downvotes someone has to lay down the truth

You mean he doesnt spend his time looking around the country for nice gestures to make? Jesus, man. I don't know the backstory behind this one but it seems like a nice gesture whether or not he's the one who thought of it.

Way to put a damper on a good story.
Hope you feel good about yourself.

There always has to be a “but” with some of you people doesn’t there?

Notice the first 20+ responses are from Texas high school coaches.
