We're averaging 3 runs per game, and even that's inflated bc of 2 games that we scored 8. We scored 2 or less in the rest. Yet, here we go again...against Jack fricking Leiter...trying to win 1-0 or 2-0.

Mainieri may be at fault, but the assumption that there is a lineup that addresses this team's issues is faulty.

This is very, very true. However, I firmly believe in putting your best offensive options out there if you're struggling to score...and then just sticking with it, taking your lumps, and hoping for progression. We knew that we may struggle offensively coming into conference play, but we also moved to a lineup that favors defense. So, I'm still not 100% sure that our non-conference lineup would have struggled as bad as I thought.
