Alabama football coach Nick Saban will be paid $11.125 million this season under a three-year contract extension that includes a $4 million signing bonus approved Tuesday by the university board of trustees’ compensation committee.

Altogether, the eight-year deal running through 2025 is scheduled to pay Saban $65 million.

Nope, and according to Skip Bertman, we could have had him back. But no worries, we were fair to Les Miles in 2006 and that's what's really important.

Saban will only stay as long as Emmert is in charge at the NCAA. That way he is double covered from the SEC and NCAA.

Alabama will continue to be in the mix every season for the foreseeable future. however, they will not be quite as dominant. there are plenty of other big schools competing now. and alabama hasn't been just good, they've been lucky. last year in the championship game they finally had a crucial injury, which plagues everybody all the time. when their top RB went out in the championship game, they couldn't hold onto the football.

ohio state, Michigan, Clemson, florida state, Georgia, lsu, all coming on strong.

don't blame Alabama for rewarding saban, though. what he's done is incredible.

If God answered stupid prayers, would pray that beginning this year LSU and Auburn would go on an 8 yr run over bama along with at least 1 other SEC loss each year.

Can you imagine the BUYOUT threads this would generate??
