Seems that's CEO's strategy to rationalize retention of "the best offensive coordinator in the country"?

Rope-a-dope without a knockout punch?

Or does Coach O, somehow and inexplicably, think that Coach E is the knock out punch?

Or is the plan to forget ever beating Bama while the Saban machine is running?

Guess the relatively easy schedule in 2019, and a probably better Oline, plus an improved Burrow is the plan?

How many points in Tuscaloosa will that get us?

If we assume 29 is min for Bama to score, we'll need a minimum of 30 to have a chance.

Or does Coach O believe there is no real/serious need to actually ever beat Bama?

Perhaps the plan is to loose to Bamar every year and win the other SEC games, bypass the SEC Championship/game each year, and take our chances with 1 or 2 losses, and sneak into the playoffs?

Perhaps?

How about waiting until the off season to see what plans are announced? Then we all be able to know for sure and then we can all scream and curse about it together.

Yes we need to give coach E an extension before someone tries to steal him

Boom, roasted.

I just can't wrap my mind around freaking out over something that may or may not happen, then if it does happen that it may be bad.

Other schools don’t seem to be waiting for the off-season to make their moves. They are locking down the good OCs now.

Yes, this is their plan as they KNOW full well they cannot defeat Saban; but I feel sure they will never ever geaux 11 & 1 - absolutely zero chance. I could see them getting a 10 & 2 occasionally, but that'd generally not be enough to earn a playoff berth.

they have. Bruce Arians Is coming to fix everything. He’s retired and has coached at the Saints and Alabama. Checks the boxes.

Where we can face Bama again, no doubt. And... (outcome).

We did not lose to Bama because of our OC. We lost to Bama because we got dominated on the line of scrimmage. Bama has dominated us on the line of scrimmage for at least 4 years and probably 6 or 7. We had to replace 8 offensive starters this year.

Unlikely that we beat Bama in Tuscaloosa next year.

The biggest challenge is improving our strength agility and conditioning. As Bama is clearly stronger and quicker at every D line position than we are.

We are running three man routes when Bama runs 5man routes. We get 2.5 seconds to throw maybe. Bama gets 4 or more.

We received rush 3 guys and get no pressure on QB. When we rush 4 we get no,pressure. The good QBs have a field day against our defense.

Bama o line and running backs are significantly superior to ours. The difference is not scheme. It is one on one player performance.
