You are wrong about Utah not being a colorful home and home. A trip to Gorgeous SLC and one of the best PAC 12 teams and a return visit is a great matchup. Don’t forget Ika is from Utah and the West is now an area that we are recruiting well.

The one recent thing LSU has been missing is a home and home with a big ten team. The Wisconsin series doesn't count.
But Purdue and Minnesota? They're traditional Big Ten bottom feeders. Why should an elite program step down to schedule home and homes with P5 bottom feeders? We're better off scheduling 2 home games vs G5 schools than H/H with Purdue or Minnesota. Michigan State a few years ago would be a worth H/H opponent, but not so sure about that anymore with all their uncertainty.
If LSU wants to schedule a Big Ten H/H series, it better be Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, or Wisconsin

All good man! I kind of expected it since it was a verbal source without attribution. My friend was the one who warned that he didn’t fully trust the source. He’s a former lineman at Utah (mid 90’s) and he still talks to lots of people. Since this is a matchup I’ve been pining for for many years, I decided to risk it and run with it. Glad it came to fruition!
ETA a few other things he has been right about in the past:
Told me Utah would be getting the Sugar Bowl invite in 2008 before the info was public.
Told me about P12 expansion news before it was public
