We've got to make a SOLID hire. Someone with charisma, solid recruiter, great x's and o's, BIG personality.

And someone who is willing to do what it takes in recruiting...within the law.

he wants to get out of baton rouge bad taking that kind of paycut. No hard feelings TJ, the feeling is mutual

Don't you think we're helping force him out the door?

That's what they were paying Jim Christian as a Mountain West School. I'm sure they will pay their next coach more than $1 million, or whatever is in line with the Big 12 average.

Trent Johnson is likely to replace Jim Christian as TCU's basketball coach, possibly by early next week, sources said Friday.

A guy I would love here as an assistant would be Charlton Young. He is in year 3 at Georgia Southern and will be one of the front runners to win their conference this year. He recruited Javaris Crittenton, Thaddeus Young, and Anthony Morrow to G Tech.

Alleva doesn't want to fire TJ because he was Joe's first hire

I wish Bruce Pearl was doable. He'd be the home run, hire.

I think he would rather win and make money than worry about that.

Would be a solid hire in my opinion.

Don't think that's a possibility with the show cause. Limits the rebuilding too much.

Jeff Capel

Concerned with how he handled Oklahoma, even with the problems he got from Sampson. If we went the assistant route, not sure he gets the look over Collins or Wojo.

Never been a head coach. Don't think we reach to an assistant, but if we did, I'd imagine he gets a look.

Great coach, but after reading that SI expose', don't think he would be a good fit here.

Is that for one year, or two? In the long run, that won't matter, imv. He'll get players, good players. He'll excite the fan base on fire.

My concern is the NCAA. How would that affect our status with them.
