The win/loss percentage is 25% of the RPI, and our adjusted win/loss record is 18-14, which equates to 0.140625. Had we won the three road midweek games (@ULL, @SELU, and @Tulane), our adjusted win/loss record would be 21.9(18 + 1.3 for each road victory) versus 11.9 (14 - 0.7 for each road loss), which equates to 0.16198, for an additional 0.021375 to our current 0.556, resulting in 0.577.

That would put us currently at 24, or 23 spots from where we are now. Each road loss has cost us about 8 RPI spots. It will be very difficult to make up for these 3 horrible road losses.

No, I live in Laffy so don't listen to him. Used simple arithmetic.

Our entire NCAA status will be determined by the next two road series, imo. If we go less than 3-3 versus OM and Carolina, we are toast. We need to go 4-2 if we can.

Unfortunately, this year is a bit of a down one.

ETA: Injuries exacerbated what was already going to be a bit of a down year. This is what I should have said.

Next year's squad will be a good one.

I don't think it kills our host chances but unless we manage to separate from the pack in the SEC race then our national seed chances are kaput.

Why didn’t it hurt us last year?

Well lucky for us we have 9 more road games left to play.

Because we finished with a 10-8 road record. We'll have to go 8-1 on road vs SC, Ole Piss, and Au to finish at 10-8. Tough hill to climb, but I guess it's possible.

Dude. It's not going to happen this year. Get with the program. No big deal. Spring game baby!

So you’re saying if we won more we’d be ranked higher? Thanks.
If we go on a tear, and win the SEC, we’ll host. And the mid week games won’t mean squat.

What if we go 2-4 but sweep our remaining SEC series and win the SEC tournament? We would host.

The team being average has eliminated the chance to host

This is ridiculous. You need to eliminate your ability to post on here.

How can people be purported longtime LSU fans and make statements like this. The next two series are big, of course, but still nothing is make or break at this point.

I agree the road losses are going to really hurt
The committee loves the SEC tourney though, the team that gets hot and wins that thing usually gets a nice bump from committee since it's right up to the selection day for host sites
