A Tiger through and through. A member of the Greatest Generation. Died June 14th.

Yep. He was put in the LSU Sports HOF a few years back...should have happened long ago.

What an accomplished Tiger. But it's kind of sad that his 5 children combined to give him only 2 grandchildren.

Man, I thought he was just in ww2 but to survive the war fighting where he did is truly amazing.

He talked with us about his battle experiences once. At Okinawa, he carried a BAR 50 cal because of his size. He was a big man...even in his late 80's when I last saw him.
