Most fans don’t really enjoy being critical of LSU, what they mostly enjoy is winning and a being a part of a winning tradition. They can’t make any sense of the way LSU is losing games. Being swept at Alex Box by a team that barely qualified for the playoffs deserves much criticism especially with how it occurred.

Base-running errors and walks ended LSU’s season needlessly. Many of us were with 11 year old ball players watching LSU’s games this weekend, these young players saw what was happening and were quick to point out LSU’s issues. They were so damn obvious. It certainly was appropriate for many fans to be highly critical this weekend of such poor fundamental play by our Tigers.

Why is this crap suddenly happening at the college level, especially at s highly respected program like LSU’s? That’s what 11-year-old La. ballplayers who know all about fundamentals kept asking. These young but knowledgeable fans can’t make any sense of it either, they certainly know how, what they kept asking was why?

Tell Brayden and Braxton to keep practicing and join LSU one day.

Tell them to keep playing their travel ball & one day they may be good enough to play for LSU.

If those kids keep playing baseball long enough, every single one of them will make a mistake on the base paths at one point. It sucks for LSU that a few of them made their mistake on a huge stage.

I really want to believe this, but I just can't.

Stop this narrative. FSU is national powerhouse that struggled this year despite being very talented. They got hot at the end, and they absolutely destroyed the national 4 (?) seed twice on Georgia's home field. We should have beat them, but don't act like it was Mcneese.

Dude, you were all Mr. Rah Rah yesterday.

Just STFU. Nobody wants to hear it now.

I fully admit to being “Rah, Rah”, cheering for an LSU victory while trying to cheer up a bunch of 11 year olds, and a bunch acting younger than 11 on the Rant. This OP isn’t a melt, but that still was a crappy way for LSU to lose.

Wasn’t the McNeese game 0-2 with somewhere around 9 runners left on?

We always have to win despite making fundamental mistakes. It has been this way since Bertman left. I remember Coastal Carolina putting on a baseball clinic against us in 2016. We had a much more talented team but they did everything well and we did things right 80% of the time.

He brings up Louisiana schools as a defense, as if totally ignorant to the fact these smaller colleges beat the dog shite out of LSU.

Yes! Everyone traveled I believe. After going undefeated in one huge tournament a few weeks back, my grandson broke his thumb catching, we didn't really know it at the time, he played through it and won! These young kids are really tough, they all know how to play different positions. Crazy how much Louisiana is a baseball state and how competitive these young kids are!

It's the product of playing 80 travel ball games a year, instead of practicing 80 times a year.

Baseball fundamentals are learned in practice, not games.

Fundamentals are generally worse across the board. So are the health of pitchers' arms.

You were also "100%" convinced we would not host a regional.

Your being convinced about something LSU baseball related is irrelevant.
