We already have a road win vs Meesh-igan.

Is Marquette considered a good team? I know they won a NC 40 years ago under Al McGwire.

Doesn't matter. The basketball experts on this board have told us Wade is no different from JJ. His track record of success doesn't matter. Just the last two games.

5-1 with a loss to Houston could happen. Wouldn’t be too bad. It would suck to lose any of the other games. Hopefully we can get Sampson back by the time we travel to Memphis

For the few who actually think this, that is extremely ignorant. WW is a driven, detail oriented focused coach. And CJJ very simply was not. But the biggest difference is accountability. WW will demand it, CJJ did not.

The defensive issues have been all year, not just the last two games, starting with Tulane and have occurred with and without Sampson in the lineup.

Now the explanation could well be he's implementing some concepts on D that the kids just have not grasped yet. One thing I have noted is that unlike CJJ he will sit guys very quickly for not doing what they are supposed to and so for now maybe the shuffling of players has led to lack of continuity but the accountability he is demanding now will pay off later.

Still it's hard to see getting beaten off the dribble so easily and sloppy ball screen defensive execution and blocking out, etc., but in the end you look for progress and improvement in that regard and if we do eventually see that all will be well.

And I think WW absolutely gets the benefit of the doubt to show that and I think he WILL!!

Team is still very short on talent. Every win should be celebrated, a d losses expected.

It would have been nice if Keith Hornsby had two more years of eligibility.
