His rationale had something to do with the fact that #6 was the only place he could get LSU figured in where there would not be a SEC match-up of national seeds prior to the championship series. I'm not sure if that is a parameter that the NCAA selection committee considers or not.

6th seed is dumb, but I'd love to be matched up with Kansas St. Matchups are what matters, not seeding.

That would be cool to get Ole Miss or Arky in a Super Regional.
I like the idea of UVA being paired with USC. I will be at one or 2 of the games at the UVA super wearing my LSU shirt and hat, and would prefer it to be against a SEC team. I won't be doing any SEC chant though.

My Top 8 seeds as of end of regular season:
1) Vanderbilt
2) Virginia
3) UNC
4) LSU
5) Oregon State
6) FSU
7) Cal State Fullerton
8) Oregon

They gonna give IU or UL a national seed in my opinion and then prolly play each other in the 8-9 game to gurantee there is a northern team there. The comment about not wanting same conference teams to play each other till championship series is impossible because ACC will have three national seeds. Which mean two have to be in same bracket . I do see LSU as 3 or 6 tho, prolly UVA/ UNC 2 and 4, then Oregon St/ LSU as 3 and 6 . CSFU will be 5 , FSU 7 and then one of the northern teams. My bet is with with Louisville if they don't choke in big east tourney
