Regarding the RBs
But first I want to ask... Who does LSU have as rock solid commitments at RB for next year?

So is the plan going forward that both Emery and Price will not get a chance to redshirt this year? Seems with Fournette gone and Curry getting less than garbage reps, the two freshmen will definitely see time from here out.

No, I doubt either will redshirt this year. I think Lanard leaving, though I don’t fault him for it at all (he graduated and stayed with LSU), will do nothing but give the two freshmen time. I don’t think we see much of Curry this year.

LSU does not have any commits at RB for the 2020 class, at the moment.

Emery and Davis-Price will not redshirt either.

Two freshmen getting more time in the next games may be what lead to the Fournette departure.

Not a knock on Fournette. He is a good tiger and deserves everyone’s respect.

What I’m scared of is that the two young running backs pass up curry and he transfers

re: Regarding the RBs
Even if Curry left, LSU would still have 3 scholarship RBs on the roster, plus the RB they sign in 2020.

LSU is fine at RB.

re: Regarding the RBs
Curry is a great kid, but if he gets passed by the youngsters, I don’t blame him if he transfers. The reality is that when you sign on at LSU, you have to be ready to compete .... each and every year, cause you’re replacement may be in the next class; regardless of the position.

THAT is what happens when great recruiting produces depth ..... depth you must have to win championships.

Wish the best for Fournette.

Lanard transferring could be the writing on the wall that shows the freshman are ready to play more.

I guess we'll have rotate those 2 guys and sling it around the yard 50 times a game. Sounds good to me.

I like your question, it's a good one. This year isn't the issue, RB's will be fine.

(Also, much respect and love for Lanard, he worked hard and is and always will be a Tiger, and mucho congrats on his graduation)

As for recruiting, LSU is a top tier and elite (yes you nega-Tigers, I said ELITE) school for football....

A top running back prospect in high school or JC, when knowing LSU might be a little thin in their depth at the position will be a good thing.....early playing time and all........

He’s a good tiger and I like him but the fact is, he should’ve never been offered. He was a package deal.

re: Regarding the RBs
I hope we keep Curry.

LSU has made it work with a 3 back rotation in the past.

Curry is that 4th quarter back we use to pound the opponent into submission when we have a 2 score lead and their D is tired.

He definitely has a role IMO.

re: Regarding the RBs
So you’d rather Curry beat out emery or Davis and one of those guys transfer. Got it.
