Redshirt playing in bowl

Considering bowl games are meaningless exhibitions (outside of Playoff). The NCAA should allow redshirts to play in bowl games and not have to burn the redshirt. Looking for reasons why this would be a bad idea.

No. The games and stats both count towards that season. You may not be aware, but they actually keep score in bowl games.

Count towards what? The result of the bowl game has no effect on the season. You don’t Make or the miss the playoffs depending on your bowl.

Yeah, I don't know why that would happen. As far as I know LSU only has one RS freshman - Narcisse. The rest have all played this year.
