Overall: 7-5

MSU: 3-1
Arkansas: 3-1
Florida: 1-1
Oregon State: 0-2

After all of the injuries and bad luck this year, it is pretty impressive that we walked away with a winning record against the last 4 teams standing. I know we don’t have anything to show for it, but I’m proud of what this team accomplished. With a little more experience and less injuries this team will go places next year.

What’s funny is you think saying that makes you more of a man. More of a winner. Keep telling yourself that.

At the beginning of every year our expectations should be the same... championship. There is nothing wrong with looking back and appreciating a bright spot on an otherwise down year. Next year is a new team, do you think the players will say “yea I remember those fans on tigerdroppings were happy with losing in the super regional last year so we probably don’t have to play that hard”. They don’t play for you or me.

You sound like a miserable person

I think everyone that follows LSU baseball already knew considering what we had to replace, injuries and youth, we outplayed our expectations.
Next year looks really good IMO.

Exactly. The entire point of this post is to show that we had the talent to have a winning record against 4 of the best teams in baseball despite what was unanimously agreed to be a down year that was then made even more difficult with multiple key injuries.

This can only mean good things when returning pretty much all key players plus an amazing class

Idk, but I miss LSU being elite in baseball. I know, just one down season. We did incredible considering the amount of losses of players and the injuries.

I posted this in a thread last night on here but the entire thread got whacked so I'll try again...

Consider this: Just last month in the SEC Tournament, LSU eliminated, meaning we beat them in elimination games, Miss St, Florida AND Arkansas.

And this was done by one of our weakest teams, mainly due to injuries and losing experienced players from last year's team, in probably the last 15-20 years.

I am looking forward to the 2019 season. Sub40 win LSU teams historically improve the following two seasons, often culminating in a late season run in Omaha.

That's why baseball is typically played in 3-game series, not one-off games. Amazing run in the SECT, but those road series...

There's nothing wrong with being proud of the team now that the season is over. And he did say he knows we have nothing to show for it.
