Myles struggles in the short passing game because teams were playing up and forcing Myles to beat them with his arm. They wouldn’t allow for us to establish a run game. SC’a game plan was much more different

Average 3rd down distance by game

7.8
6.9
9.7

Average 3rd down distance Saturday?
3.0

Having no run game vs Missouri killed us.

why didn't the coaches call these plays in the 1st three games?

Is the usual Rant excuse that the coaches are waiting for Bama to open up the playbook?

Because Myles Brennan has put up great numbers with the complete absence of a running game.

Brennan is our guy. I can definitely see the benefit of putting in packages specifically for him similar to what we did with periloux in 07 and what Florida did with Tebow and Leak in 06

Folks, we played So. Carolina... yes, they upset Auburn, but they are still So. Carolina.
In addition, there was no film on Finley.....
coaches will make it harder on him.

Finley was able to stand back there all night without even being touched
he was flushed many times. one of the best things he did was show he's good at keeping his eyes up field while moving.

Finley has swagger and played awesome no doubt about it but
Right or Wrong, Fair or unfair the other players upped their game for Finley!
It's the intangibles and squad chemistry that will make or break you. You can't coach it out, up or away!

we watched brennan throw behind receivers on routes several times. yes, he had a lot of yards in the first three games on deep throws, but to say that he didn't struggle with short game accuracy isn't... accurate.
