He comes into our home and uses that time to learn the ropes of LA recruiting. Leaves because his ego is so big that he must try the NFL. Once he completely fails, do you think he might just pause when our arch-rival offers him? Did he think, “I owe it to the Tigers not to go THERE.”

No, he didn’t. Because it’s all about him.

No doubt he’s a great coach but I’ll take a high character guy any day over him. It’s not just about winning football games IMO.

The guy is a loser and I’m not talking about games

He wanted to come back here but Leslie Ann Miles backed out of the Michigan gig

Actually the first call he made when he failed in Miami was to Skip Bertman. The man did love it here. But had aspirations to be an NFL coach. Can’t fault him for that. The way he handled it was shitty.

He was not a complete failure in the nfl. He was by no means A success and if he would have stayed longer he probably would have figured it out and been better than some nfl coaches that have coaches since he left. Remember he was not fired nor was he going to be fired when he left Miami.

I mean didn't he try to come back to LSU, and we stiff-armed him (rightfully so given our season)?

He didn't owe LSU anything.

When Terrell Owens played for the Eagles he scored a touchdown in Dallas, then ran to the middle of the field and spiked the ball on the star. Cowboy fans HATED him. Then he gets traded to Dallas and the fans loved him. If Saban came back next year, you would throw him a parade.

This is a very strange 12 year delayed melt.

Oh and everything you said is stupid and incorrect. You are not very bright

Jimmy Johnson took a lousy Cowboys team and won two super bowls, but he did not do well in Miami either, did he?

There is only 1 reason not to like him. He left LSU. That’s it.

You’re an idiot. Without him, there is no second golden age. I’ve lived long enough to recognize what he did. I saw both golden ages and know what lies ahead - MANY MANY more years of mediocrity and worse unless the next Saban is hired quickly.

You are really delusional to think that this would have been his thought process.

This is weird. I'm thinking you must be either really young and don't remember, or really old and have a bad memory. Alabama was not our arch rival; I personally still don't see them that way. Saba did put out feelers trying to come back.

Saban wins championships. IMO there is no equal like him coaching in collegiate football right now. He's that good.

Bama will maul Clemson and win another NC.
