Realistically why can't the SEC offices be moved?

Talk about leaving the SEC is just silly but can we get any momentum behind moving the SEC offices out of Alabama? I would be fine with them being up in Missouri. I just don't think the people there are as crooked or fanatical

The people there weren’t even SEC till a few years ago. Heck they still aren’t. I’d rather Nashville or something like that.

Realistically it can, but fairness or not they make the most money funneling resources through the University of Alabama.
Again, this is not about the schools involved and its certainly not about the student athletes. This is about one thing and one thing only, making money for the SEC and those running/invested in it.

Doesn't matter where the OFFICE is: it is the people IN the office

Yeah. I don't get how moving buildings would change a single thing.

Why don’t you start a Go Fund Me page to have the office moved to Missouri?

And where do those people IN the office live?
The office needs to be far away from influence. New York gets my vote.

Also, rotate the SEC championship game every year. All SEC cities should be able to host the game and benefit from it. Georgia playing in Atlanta is not fair so the excuse of neutrality does not fit.

biggest worry in Mizzou would be protests/SJW's, meth, and poop swastikas.
I think I could live with that.
Houston or Dallas makes sense to me. The whole idea, at least now, is money. The big draw for TAMU coming in was money in their pocket, and the TX market for the SEC.
But the issue isn't the geographical location. It is a people problem. It has a paralell in the business world with nepotism or, more closely, hiring practices after a merger (think Exxon & Mobil). The culture-dominant side will go out of it's way to bring in more that fit it's culture. That in real terms once Bama grads got in there, at the middle levels, then they just keep the pipeline going.
It's not the top levels (the only initiate things). It's not the bottom levels (they have no power). It is the middle level.
When the NCAA clearinghouse clears a player for eligibility but the SEC won't... it's not the SEC guy who wrote the conference rules, it's the guy (gal actually, Kathryn Poe Switzer) on the next level down who applies them.
When we complain to the conference about other teams recruiting violations, it's not Matt Boyer (head of compliance) who makes that letter disappear, he never even read it, it is the guy under him who disappeared the letter faster than a dissident Pole in 1950's Warsaw.

One good reason is Birmingham lease on SEC office is literally 1 dollar.

Doesn't matter where the office is located...there will always be allegations of local influence on the folks that work there.

What’s more important is getting the head officials of the SEC to be SEC neutral in their backgrounds.
No Bama grads, nor LSU grads, nor any SEC grads as head of officiating or in charge of the replay review process.
We need to get more specific with the reforms we want. We need to shoot for easily implementable reforms that make sense to the rest of the college football world.

Yes because people never relocate for their job, and Bama fans and alums or people that would have bias only live in Alabama

This is it, in a nutshell.
Middle-management/bureaucracy exist, mainly, to ensure a couple things:
1. Keeping a nice, steady, well-paying occupation.
2. Maintaining a certain level of influence in that position. In Birmingham, it is success of University of AlaBama football that is the object of the proceedings.
SEC office is sort of like the executive branch of the U.S. government. Lots and lots of comfortable jobs where the pay and benefits are good. At the very middle, there is a certain amount of power and the ability to influence and hold control over "people" with either regulations or the ability to promote or discard "issues."

Are you serious, location is huge. You don’t if the offices were in Gonzales or Hammond that wouldn’t be a better advantage for us?

New York or Los Angeles.

There needs to be relentless pressure put on the SEC to move the offices out of Alabama, to bias has got to stop...

No other schools are pushing for this. Only LSU fans and maybe a few others.
Why is this such a big thing with LSU fans?

Ever heard of the saying nothing changes until there is change? Think about it...
