Woodward firing Wade on the eve of the NCAA Tournament if, for no other reason, it extremely prejudiced the student-athletes whom LSU had financially benefitted from during (game revenue, marketing revenue, etc.). I don't think expediting the firing by a week or two was going to move the needle one way or the other.
That’s the only thing I’ve been bitter about especially as it relates to a guy like Days.
We can only hope Emmert summoned Woodward to a back room, poured a whiskey, lit a cigar and said “ok , scotty lad, here’s what you need to do to avoid tHammer.”
Of course that would just make the ncaa look even more like the gestapo we already know they are, but whatever it takes to get us quickly back on track.

Of course anything is possible but I don’t think the sanctions we’ll get are anywhere near the doomsday predictions you’re seeing. Buzz Williams was just caught with 6 major recruiting violations, ATM paid a $5,000 fine and his recruiting visits were cut back. Alabama was just caught paying Collin Sexton, they fired the coach and paid a $5,000 fine. Louisville just got caught in one of the worst scandals since the 90s, Pitino was hit with a “failure to provide an atmosphere of compliance” sanction and the school basically got off Scott free.

Wade underachieved based on talent.
You worship a failed coach who had one tourney win at LSU.
Duke has had consistently top 1-3 recruiting classes since 2016. They haven't finished higher than the elite 8, and haven't won their conference regular season championship in that stretch. By your metrics, doesn't that mean Coach K is an underachieving, mediocre bench coach?

He doesn’t watch college basketball, his standards only apply to one person. You’ll see those standards do a 180 with the new coach and if there’s losing he’ll continue to blame Wade for years to come, likely forever.

Wade has gotten past the first round one time.
Elite 8, vs round of 32. Yeah, you're on to something chief. The standards the cult has for Wade are pathetic.

Louisville is not off scott free yet, still has a case pending with the NCAA in the IARP, just like Kansas, LSU, Arizona and Memphis. Link below lets you view all activity in said cases. Only case resolved by the IARP so far is the NC State. Link to pending cases before the IARP

Wade won 1 NCAA tourney game at LSU.

He was suspended. One of his two suspension/terminations by two different AD's and two administrations.
quote:yet some here treat him as if he is Wooden
Wade has never been past the round of 32. QUite the accomplishment.

The only one obsessed with Wade here is you. Most of us care that LSU got to the sweet 16 but then again we’re not agenda driven we only care about the program.
Posted on 3/23/22 at 10:56 am to RogerTheShrubber
You’re “he only has 1 NCAA Torubament win” Argument is still fricking garbage. You ducked my post earlier.
He only got to coach 1 tournament.
LSU made a sweet 16 in another seaso he coached but didn’t coach the tournament.
The tournament was cancelled and we lost in the opening round this year, but that was probably his worst team.
The real question is, if you don’t know if Tony Benford is a better HC than Wade why should anyone listen to Your opinions? You admit you don’t know shite.

Y’all can say Wade messed up and caused this, but woodward signed off on this death sentence.
Lmao, that’s it..Woodward signed off on it! If he kept WW no sanctions would have come. Jesus
You is dumb

Apparently firing wade is an admission of guilt but not paying off a former players fiancée who is blackmailing you.

The best post season LSU had in the Wade era is one where he wasn't involved in the day to day coaching. Quite the statement.
Of course you can pretend like he would have done as well, there's absolutely no evidence to support it.

And for what it is worth the IARP found:
NC State committed five (5) Level I violations; Four (4) Level II violations; Two (2) Level 3 violations.
The penalties:
$5,000 fine (self-imposed)
One (1) lost scholarship in each of the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons
Various recruiting restrictions through 21-22. Fewer official visits, less communication, etc (some were previously self imposed)
NO postseason ban
One (1) year show cause for former HC, Mark Gottfried
Six (6) year show cause for former assistant coach.

Kids did not and I repeat did not decommit because of ncaa allegations. If that were the case, they never would’ve committed here in the first place. The recruits left because Wade was fired. End of story

You are so damn stupid. Y’all want to give him credit for the loss this year in the 1st round but he can’t take credit for the sweet 16 season. Makes sense. Ran into a very good Michigan team last year after getting screwed in seeding also.
Posted on 3/23/22 at 11:20 am to SammyTiger
He’s going to duck the questions when you call him out, it’s what a lot of these tough guys do. Just run up baseless claims and then disappear or completely ignore it when they are called on their bs
