QB coach: Steve Ensminger
Depth chart: Joe Burrow (Jr.), Myles Brennan (Soph.), Lowell Narcisse (rFr.), Justin McMillan (Jr.)
With the arrival of Burrow, this room went from a huge question mark to a potential strength for the Tigers. Burrow doesn't bring experience to LSU, but he brings a ton of ability and he gives a young, talented depth chart time to mature. By the time Burrow is gone, Brennan will be physically prepared to take over or Narcisse will have developed enough as a passer to be effective.

It takes more than one arm for sustained success, and these schools clearly know that
How good is your team's quarterback room? It's a question that can dictate a season and determine job security. It's a question that is answered through recruiting, development, coaching hires and sometimes just dumb luck, but the answer is achieved over time.
Ohio State needed its entire quarterback depth chart to win the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship. Florida's inability to find a steady quarterback has played a part in costing two coaches their jobs. Jake Fromm and Tua Tagovailoa started last season as backups for Georgia and Alabama, respectively, but battled it out for the national title in January.
So, I set out to rank the top 25 quarterback rooms in the college football right now. This isn't a list of the top starting quarterbacks. It's a ranking that seeks to answer questions like: Who is best equipped to absorb injuries under center? Who is set up for success beyond the 2018 season? Who has a quarterback coach that will get the most out of his room? Who has recruited well at the position?
Here's your top quarterback rooms for the 2018 season.

I think a lot of LSU fans have been confusing these two things.
Eta: I forgot to add the qualifier that I'm not saying he can't or won't be good because I think he will. Just inexperienced. I wouldn't want people thinking I'm being negative.

What's the over/under for number of downvotes because of the source?

It will get way more downvotes, but it shouldn't. It's just information and it's objectively positive info about the team and upcoming season.

It’s a pretty fair write up. There is a lot of potential with Burrow but he still has a lot prove. But we’re in a better position with him than without.

Alabama ahead of Georgia plus all those other teams is freaking hilarious. In what world does Alabama have a better qb room than Georgia other than Simmons and every other beat writer wanting to suck off Bama 24/7. Yet they have Washington ahead of them????????

I'm not sure if you knew this or not but American football is a team sport.

List is mostly conjecture, however if LSU is 6th in QB production in the SEC, how many games are won?

So you think Fromm and whoever are better than Hurts and Tua?

Completely agree. There's no question the kid is talented. The question is how will it translate to the games. It was a good move to bring him in, but those who think he's the savior this season may be a little disappointed. He'll win us some games and cost us some as well. He hasn't had to deal with SEC defenses trying to take his head off just yet. I think year 2 with him will be much improved.

Jacob Eason will win the Heisman under Chris Peterson.
That is the most talented QB by a country mile that Peterson has ever had. Will be a ton of fun to watch in 2019. Kid reminds me of Stafford.

I know you hate Bama, but be serious.
Hurts 60.6% 8.2 ypa 2081 pass yards 17 TDs 1 int, 5.55 ypc 855 rush yards 8 TDs
Tua 63.6% 8.3 ypa 638 pass yards 11 TDs 2 int, 4.93 ypc 133 ypc 2 TDs
Efficiency, play making ability, takes care of the football, both of them.
Hell, Jalen's true freshman year was worlds better than Fromm's (even though I like Fromm better).

I think Fields will be better than Deshaun Watson when he gets to play, but he hasn't played yet. Fromm's true freshman year doesn't even compare to Hurts, and Tua scored 3 times through the air vs UGA's 8th ranked pass defense (literally 2 spots below Bama), and has played better than both every time he saw the field.
