Literally the only time it feels like there is any flow to Denbrock's playcalling is when they're playing up tempo

it starts working and then he reverts back to this slow developing clunky offense. it's insane.

daniels could be so much better than what he has shown in the right scheme. he's got to be more accurate though. I still think the root cause is this bullshite year 1995 offensive scheme with 2 TE's on the field.

The d line plays an entirely different style against Brennan. Against Daniels they were keeping containment and letting Daniels sit in the pocket. If Myles is playing they are just pinning there ears back and getting to the QB because they aren’t worried about his running ability.

Agreed 200%.

Are you effing kidding me? If Brennan was the best or second best guy he would have stayed. He was beat out by Daniels AND Nuss.

Turn in your sarcasm detector. If Brennan was a good QB he would have won the job. Kelly knows what he’s doing.

Dumb as a Rock is the OC but BK said he was the best play caller he ever saw in his career.

Daniels has been bad at field vision all year. It didn’t hurt as much against vastly inferior teams because he could outrun them

This is it right here. LSU finally ran into a team and scheme that exploited Daniel’s weaknesses. I hope the staff doesn't bang their against the wall trying to do the same thing hoping for miraculous improvement. Daniels has been a starting college QB for four years. What you see is what you get. What Denbrock is trying to do is fundamentally broken, with Daniels running the offense.

Yes, he had time. Yes receivers dropped passes. Yes he holds on to the ball because he is scared to throw it, yes he doesn't trust his receivers to get 50/50 balls, yes he targeted Jack Bech 1 time for a two yard pass, yes he doesn't read defenses, yes he is 1 read and run, yes our OC is not using short to intermediate routes like he should given the limitations of the quarterbacks, yes our coaching staff waits for over half the game to into a fast tempo mode which is where our offense works best. All of it. It's the same story every game. Bech is not even considered in the offense even though he led this team in receiving a year ago.

denbrock refuses to call plays to spread the field. its maddening.

Even O and Ensminger knew we had to move to modern concepts and went out and found Brady. Kelly and Denbrock are giving me Miles/Cameron PTSD.

Kelly is the right HC, but he needs take a look at how most SEC offenses have evolved and embrace the change. Saban did it years ago. Kirby finally did and won a NC. He's going to have to make some tough decisions this offseason.

This isn't a NC team and Kelly is a guy that changes style to match talent and he's playing the style he thinks can win games. He's 1 kick away from 5-0 and NO ONE thought we'd be 5-0 and few even thought 4-1. Way way too much overreacting by lsu fans as per usual.

I think there is plenty of blame to go around on our offense.I agree that Denbrock should have Daniels moving and throwing, however JD was wildly inaccurate on a number of throws and couldn't find a secondary receiver to save his life. Let's simplify the reads as much as possible and do what this kid does best. He is NOT our future but we need to make do whih what we have. Nuss is going to be needed and needs reps with the 1st team as JD is taking big shots and may not last the whole season.

Dropping a dual threat qb back every play instead of running RPO is stupid.

Someone please explain to him what an RPO is and how it’s not very often the QB that’s running

I said when Max was here.

Under Peetz a first time play caller:
Max 27 TDs/6 INTs 2815 yds and 144.4 rating

Daniels projected 12 game stats:
14.4 TDs/0 INTs (unlikely to stay that way though) 2196 yds and 141.7 rating

We're just now getting into the tough part of the schedule. Maybe Daniels' performance improves with experience, but we'll see.

You actually proved my point though. Max looks worse with ATM but Peetz made him look decent. Denbrock is not maximizing Daniels' ability with the scheme he uses.

Daniels is at fault. He can’t throw for shite but he’s still the best option. We have a bad bad qb room

with this upcoming stretch of quality opponents

Both of them? Tennessee and Alabama are the only “quality opponents” left on our schedule. Ole Piss is NOT a quality opponent by any sense of the imagination. They are overrated as frick and barely beat 3 shitty teams. A&M is complete garbage. Florida is a dumpster fire with a coach that will be fired in 2 years because he’s crap. Arkansas is average at best. These are just the facts. Don’t care if you don’t like it or how much you want to overrate Ole Miss right now.

We know Jayden cant throw. We fricking know. It is what it is. We were down to 39 scholly players last year with a new coach. He brings maturity to the position and that's why he starts.

Is a quarterback that cannot throw the football really a “dual threat” quarterback??

Combine Daniels inaccuracy in the auburn game with the high number of drops and we have a very ineffective passing game.

Add the 5 drops back to the formula and he’s @65% accurate so not bad. Realistically, we can only add @3 back so that makes him @60%. Still not bad.

With the inconsistent receiving corps, that we have , It’s a good thing we have a mobile qb

Daniels has been relatively accurate in our prior games and no interceptions.

Not sure we know what happened with Brennan. I think maybe he just did not want to play any more. He could read defenses much better that our fourth year starter can.
