The Advocate “LSU could not pass the ball effectively all night . QB’s Daniels and Nuss finished a combined 10 of 26 for 85 yards, including 5 yards in the second half. The only explosive pass happened when running back Emery leaked out of the backfield fans gained 39 yards. Daniels often had time in the pocket. There were open receivers. But the fault rested on the entire offense. Daniels was slightly inaccurate in some key situations and the receivers combined for at least 5 drops.

LSU leaned on the run in the second half, calling 27 run plays and nine pass attempts. The results were not stellar but ,,,LSU rushed for 116 yards in the second half… Emery, Williams and Cain averaged 4.5 yards per carry…Kelly noted “we’ve been able to exert our will on teams in the second half on most teams this year. I’ll go back to what I felt that the conditioning of our football team has been better than our opponents this year”

TTT - Conditioning and defense are the reason LSU is winning games, it will take more than that with this upcoming stretch of quality opponents starting with Tenn. LSU QB has the time, receivers are getting open, LSU passing can get better this weekend if everyone does their effing job!

This doesn't make sense. If he has time, and has open receivers the fault lies on him.

This was essentially les miles football from 2009-2016. At LSU you can win about 9 games a season this way usually with one surprising upset, one almost guaranteed loss to Alabama and a loss to a team you shouldn’t.

The fault lies on Denblob not Daniels.

Dropping a dual threat qb back every play instead of running RPO is stupid.

Y’all realize he likely only had a lot of time to throw because of the defense’s fear of the qb’s running ability. They were not rushing hard as a game plan.

QB needed to go through his progressions better, but also you can’t discount that at on two key third downs in our lone td drive of the first half, Daniels scrambled for a first down.

I posted on score board that Myles would have had 250 yards and 3TDs in first half.

Well let’s just say that 85 yards passing is beyond embarrassing. I saw numerous times where Daniels looked solely at Taylor and Taylor only. WRs breaking free and he has already released the ball. To Taylor. Needs much more patience.

They need to print out the QB grade --- like they often print the OL grade.

The turn around on conditioning is truly is truly insane. If we had o still, we lose against miss state and auburn too. The next two years really could be special with most everyone coming back. We just need Walker Howard to be that guy….or dip back into the portal for another QB

daniels refuses to pull the trigger in a lot of cases because he is the most risk averse QB we've had at LSU in forever.

when he and nuss did find an open WR/TE, they dropped SO MANY passes that hit them in their hands.

the scheme IS stupid. long developing pass plays. no slant. no screens. no crosses. no roll outs. very little quick release passes.

this offense is a shite show.

I'm sure that many will disagree- but I believe any win at Auburn is a plus. The truth is that game is a knife fight 90% of the time- even when LSU is an "established strong program". LSU won 25 games in 2018-19- the greatest two season stretch EVER for the program- and beat Auburn twice by a total of 4 points.

Know the deficiencies, improve on them, and keep winning.
We all know our guys are still a work in progress. But progress is being made, over the suffering of 2020-21. They are getting there...

Who says he didn't besides the coaches that picked Daniels?

Well, according to some, he may have, but BK shut him out and didn't give him a chance. All because BK has been all in on Daniels since Day 1. This was all after convincing Myles to come back mind you.

I’d really, really like to see LSU develop one of its own QB recruits. Nuss and Howard have all the bonafides to be great successes.

I think it’s pretty JD is essentially a warm body at the position and luckily protects the football. But it’s not pretty at all.

And yes, when we meet a team equally conditioned to us, it’s going to be very, very frustrating to watch.
