Rabalais/Advocate calling out Tiger Fans.. . .and rightfully so. Good article.

Let's get FIRED UP for this Saturday. If rumors about Sumlin are true then just like LSU was energized and played hard for Miles amidst his firing rumors, you know aTm is going to put up a fight.

It's probably the exact opposite for aTm.
A lame duck coach who hasn't accomplished anything, plus you're on the road.
They won't be that fired up, IMO.

Idk, we saw the dumpster fire that is Tennessee come out jacked up last weekend.
A&M is a better team than Tennessee.

Tennessee had just fired their coach. There was some freshness to their situation.

Ehhhhh I'll think about going. I'll probably be tired from Black Friday shopping.

I could see the players coming out hot for Sumlin. They like their coach. They committed to play for that coach.
They hear the rumors about his impending firing, just like LSU players heard about Les getting fired and came out with an inspired performance and carried him off the field in victory.
We need to be prepared to take A&M's best shot.
Not to mention, Sumlin is now coaching for his next job. A big win against top 20 LSU on the road on the most watched football weekend of the year will certainly help his stock.

It's a big recruiting weekend. Fill the stands and stay till the end.
Hey, LSU's famed "earthquake game" was in an 8-4 season. No excuses.

LSU fans think of themselves and Tiger Stadium as being the greatest in college football. There’s no excuse for not living up to that reputation Saturday night.

I thought the report was that Sumlin was gone at the end of the season regardless.... If true they wouldn't be playing to save his job at all, and he would have zero motivation to get his guys fired up.

I think everybody in the nation knows with LSU fans that if (the Tigers) are not doing good, then (the crowd) is going to let you know and (they) are going to boo you.”

I always stay to the end, the couple that sits behind me are in their mid 70's and never leave early would love to see a great crowd with the recruits that will be at this game.

Its just another test and barometer for our coaching staff. Well coached teams are prepared and give consistent effort each and every week. Teams like Alabama and Ohio State play fired up teams all the time, how fired up teams get to play you is often a measure of how good you are.
Texas A&M is not a very good team by typical SEC West standards, but better than Ole Miss, Arkansas and Tennessee.
This is a game LSU should win if they are prepared to play. Since the Troy loss, LSU has looked well coached and ready to play. Emotion tends to subside a few minutes into the game and then physicality and preparedness take over.

You either have quite a short memory or you're talking out of your arse.
Those players were much more bark than bite. They talked a big game, but that was a sloppy, uninspired, error-filled win over Texas A&M.
Certainly nothing that should have saved Les's job.
But hell, I thought Dubya was the worst president in history, but compared to what we have now, I wish we had him back.
Les certainly deserved to lose his job--assuming we want to compete for national and conference titles and are tired of settling for meaningless, shite bowls.
But compared to what we have now, I wish we had Les back.
