I don't ask many questions on here, for good reason, but have we ever ran a fake off the toss dive? Or are we just holding on to take for the CFPCCG? I mean that would be a really hard bite don't you think?

As in a roll out to the opposite side? Yes, ran it a few times last season.

Peterson reverse off the toss dive worked really well against Bama..

The "fake" is the biggest problem about the toss dive. The defense doesn't have to react because the ball leaves the QBs hand as soon as he turns around. The benefit to the play action is while the QB is dropping back, the defense doesn't know who has/will get the ball. The toss dives eliminates that question.

At least 2-3 times a game they should be incorporating be and actually using some kind of fake off the toss dive.

But we can have the back advance to the line and toss it back to the qb for a long down field pass. We have done it before.

Bro, there is a 98% chance the qb is going to hand it off anyway. Why waste energy running all the way back and handing it to the rb?

Yes, the flea flicker, etc is always an option but the play action pass is much more effective (which is why it is done so much more) and the toss dive basically eliminates the play action.

Miles doesn't care about his weaknesses or opportunities...only his strengths. I think he truly believes they can run the ball on anyone, any time, any place so he doesn't look for advantages like that.
