LSU Coach Les Miles was even less insightful than usual in his postgame address about the nature of the problems, apparently surprised that his team didn't play better. At one point he was asked why LSU receivers continue to drop passes. He uttered something untranscribable before saying, "Honestly, I don't know. If anybody knows, I'd be for it."

THis is why we have the rantards with numerous suggetions daily.

That's what really gets my goat is that if the coach has a winning record then we have to worship him and he is above criticism.

He is not and should not be above legitimate criticism. Read some of these posts and decide for yourself if they are criticism or bashing.

Rock Solid and unarguable. 6 consecutive 3 and outs net 12 yards after opening drive. Defense left guts on field and Gators ground game got stronger as game wore on. Sad....Very Sad to watch.

That is it in a nutshell.

Miles does not respect the offense as part of the team. He sees it as the basis for a defensive contest, and he has shown me that he will never change this part of his coaching philosophy.

The LSU trust (BOD, athletic director, etc.) needs to be very careful with the next coach selected and look at backgrounds very closely, e.g. what position did the coach play in high school and college and what has been his style of play (as a coach).

Its a hell of alot easier to win at LSU than at Tn. This is a poor comparison.

An above average coach can compete for national titles year in ad year out at LSU.

Made piss poor coaching hires. That's completely avoidable on LSU's part.

For this fan, Miles earned another couple years with a truly phenomenal job of leading the 2011 team to 13-0—with mediocre-at-best QB's. He shite the bed with a truly uninspired game plan for the 1/9 Bama game, but overall 2011 was Miles's best season of head coaching at LSU. I'm content to give him this year and next to see where the program is headed.

So, i guess Saban's three titles are all in the present, and not in the past...get real

True. Lessons learned from UT. 1. Don't hire a daddy's boy douchebag (Laney Kiffin.) 2. Don't hire a daddy's boy deer in the headlights wimp. (Dooley).

I really hope they hang in there b/c I forgot the year but the defense got so frustrated with the inept offense it started showing on the field.

How many QBs will have to play here before the attention turns to scheme, coaching, and player development?

Its funny that the defensive players seem to improve and reach their potential but on offense they don't.....I guess all the recruiting experts are just wrong about the talent on offense.

This anger at Miles reminds me of Nebraska fans under Frank Solich. Husker fans thought they could do better, so they ran off a 10-win-a-year coach and replaced him with Bill Callahan. And you could say Nebraska just hasn't been the same since

Stop making logical points . Dont u understand that all these folks know how to run a championship program ? I'm sure there r a few here who dominated the pop warner league . the football knowledge here is bursting at the seams. Miles spends hours reading the rant and is frustrated he cant please these "Lombardi" wannabees . his record should be disregarded. we should be 14-0 every year . no excuses!

Les miles will eventually get fired for this reason. I am with you I prefer for joe and TAF to hold Les' feet to fire with the offense. Force him to make changes. A vocal core of the A List TAF donars don't like Les combine that with Skip gone and his buds in Thomas Boyd. Les will isolate himself if he doesn't make changes.

It's him I cannot stand anymore. He's predictable and plays not to lose, leaving the game excruciating to watch.

Miles sucks the life out of college football. He's had plenty of time to field an offense that doesn't sputter yet we haven't had one in at least five years.

I agree. Boring, predictable, and ugly football. Its just not fun anymore.

But they did, I'm 38 years old. I'd like to think that Alleva would do a better job than Joe Dean.
