Ancient history. Find a Juco QB, find a 3 star competent QB all in 2007-2008 and we are no where near where we are right now with schlubs.
Again, I hope I am completely wrong about JJ and JL and that both young me do well. However, I have serious doubts.
If this team comes around, it could be 14 - 0 and I'd be the happiest old fart Tiger in the universe. Hope to see it.

RP
Jefferson
Shep
J. Lee
Garrett
Z. Lee
were all nicely rated QBs with two of them being the #1 guy in their class.
RP was very good, but couldn't keep it together off the field. He was never convicted of a felony though.
Shep just supposedly didn't have the mind to be a college QB. He is great at his new positions. QB bust, but still a great player.
Jefferson has been good, but did not have the OL to be really effective.
J. Lee is a solid backup. One of our bust for sure.
Garrett supposedly didn't want to work for it at LSU according to what I read. Our other bust.
I don't think anyone expected Zach Lee to get overpaid the way he did. It is really suprising he isn't a Tiger.

I think it would be safe to say the whole Tiger nation feels pretty much the same way as you. Bottom line, we recruited one 3 star recruit that got his walking papers, three 4 star recruits and one five star Gatorade Parade All American and only two of them have seen that much action since 2008. I wont count 5 star QB R. Sheppard because I think they planned on making that kid a WR all along. We've had a tough couple of years but I think things will get better. We'll find somebody that will pan out and I think JJ will do decent enough until we can reload. As far as a Juco I'm sure they are looking there as well. It's going to be alright, hang in there Tiger fan. Trust me, I ought to own stock in Tums and Rolaids the last few years, I feel your pain.

Russell Shepard is not, and was never going to be a quarterback. We told him he'd be one to get him in campus. Ryan Perrilloux was the subject of a FEDERAL INVESTIGATION for counterfeit money. He was nothing but trouble. The Zach Lee situation is Les Miles' fault because he put all his eggs in one basket over a first-round draft pick in the baseball draft.

Tommy Hodson. Herb Tyler. 40 to 50 touchdowns apiece and both where LEADERS and undersized. When Jamarcus Russell is sitting around drinking purple drank in 10 years, these guys will be earning a living and be highly thought of by LSU Alumni.
