LSU is officially down to just three scholarship quarterbacks, the same number the Tigers went through the 2019 season with.
LSU redshirt freshman Peter Parrish is in the NCAA's Transfer Portal as of Monday morning, sources confirmed with 247Sports. He was no longer listed on the team's official roster on LSUSports.net as of July 3.
The Tigers entered spring practices with quarterback Myles Brennan as a redshirt junior, while early-enrollees Max Johnson and TJ Finley were both just a couple months removed from high school. Parrish did not participate in the team's three practices this spring, and head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed in March that Parrish was suspended from team activities for a violation of team rules.

The four-star prospect was ranked by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite as the No. 313 overall prospect in the country, No. 11 dual-threat quarterback and No. 11 overall prospect in Alabama. On 247Sports, Parrish ranks as the No. 12 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 19 overall prospect in Alabama, while checking in at No. 521 overall.
Arizona State, Cincinnati, Florida and others offered Parrish in high school, with LSU extending an offer following a strong camp performance two summers ago. Parrish committed to LSU soon thereafter.

Good luck to him. I wonder if this means Johnson or Finley was already ahead of him on the depth chart...

Parrish hasnt been part of the team since end of last season, he got suspended early this year.

Is he transferring because he wants to start somewhere?
Is his transfer related to his suspension?
Why was he suspended?
Was he going to be QB2?
I have a lot of questions for this one. I know his transfer has been a foregone conclusion for a while, but this still puzzles me.

You can only take so many QB's in a recruiting class. You think Bama should have taken Parrish Over Tua's brother or Bear Bryant's grandson in that recruiting class? And Bo nix was the #1 dual threat QB in the nation and an Auburn legacy. Why would they want Parrish?

Parrish had an off the field issue and honestly he did get the short end of the stick. I dont blame him. He was guilty until proven innocent.

Vol has been saying for a while that Parrish wasn't an SEC QB and was either going to have to find a new position or transfer.

Parrish in no way whatsoever would have had any shot at being QB2 even if he had stayed and not been suspended. Max Johnson was better than Parrish the second he walked on campus and TJ Finley’s tools alone would have had him ahead too. He’s just not an SEC level QB. In high school he ran way more than he passed and he split time with a more prototypical type passer.
