He looked different last night. The light may have come on.

No one ever will, but I can see Myles putting up over 4,000 with this talent and coaching.

How ridiculous has Burrow been this year? Brennan could throw for 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns fewer than Joe and still have 3,200 yards and 30 touchdowns which would be a great season

Matt Flynn threw for 2,407 yards and 24 touchdowns. We won a National championship with that level of quarterback play.
We don’t need 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns to win a championship. We need smart play and a strong defense.
If Brennan can give us 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns we can win it all as long as interceptions stay single digits for the year

He just has to have picked stuff up this year watching and working with Burrow. If not, he is a huge miss and a dud.

Watched him in pregame yesterday as I have for the A&M game as well.

He has the arm.

I noticed he seemed to take a little sizzle off his passes and it helped make them more catchable. Dude has a laser beam for an arm which is great when you need a quick shot, lasers are much harder to catch so it was good seeing him add a little more touch on the throws.

That’s why I said 3000 and 35 touchdowns. I think we can win it with numbers in the low to mid 3000 range and 35 passing touchdowns as long as we get another 20 touchdowns rushing and special teams.

Flynn also didn’t play in the SEC championship that year due to injury. Perrilloux played more significant time that season than Brennan. Yes, Brennan’s numbers don’t need to be that of Burrow if your defense is stout. We will also lean on the running game a bit more next season more than likely. We just don’t need him to have numbers like Etling or Harris or the like. We have to be able to throw the ball effectively when needed.

He made good decisions on which receiver to hit, threw accurate passes. Can't believe how many top college QBs I've watched the past month miss wide open receivers wo pressure. One NFL game I watched the QB missed 3 open guys in a row. Burrow is exceptional but Brennan has the arm and accuracy, think he's gonna push 4000 yards a year.

How about Joe his first year?

If Brennan has a first year like Joe’s, this board will full melt. If his second year is like Joe’s, this board will call him a hero.

I agree that it doesn't take Burrow-level video game numbers to win a natty. But I think the days of winning with defense and average offense are over. The college game has changed a lot over the past 10 years.

I think Myles is going to be a great QB for LSU. I am highly optimistic.

Love where we are now. Not only we have the next QB already on the system, he is getting snaps to help the game slow down. Even got him in a playoff game!!!

Wouldn't it be great that we stomp Clemson bad in first half and Brennan gets to play the whole 4th quarter.
