Ryan Clark could've come out and said," Jesus is good" and some you would be bitching. He gets paid to give his opinion. He loves louisiana and lsu.

My gosh, they all talked too much. They had nothing to bring to us so they just fill with nonsense! In the end I am better off just switching channels then listening to thier crap!

What did you expect them to do? Start breaking down plays? They just watched a player be given cpr live on national tv and they had no instruction on if the game was going to be called. They showed as many commercials as possible. It was a live broadcast going on.

Clark’s attempt at comparing football players to first responders as far as putting their lives on the line when they go to work was fricking typical Clark and very tone deaf. Dude just talks too fricking much.
Did this idiot really do this? They try so hard to make the fact that they play a game for a living so courageous.

It's clear Ryan Clark's existence rubs some of our "fans" the wrong way and I love it.

Not to take away from the gravity of the situation, but Booger McFarland and Ryan Clark have represented LSU very well on air tonight. In addition to being elite athletes who excelled at the highest level, it’s clear both of these guys obviously learned a lot about life and what really matters during their time on campus, and are doing an excellent job articulating that for the rest of us. Both of them are a huge credit to LSU and the State of Louisiana! Proud they are Tigers!

Booger was very measured as usual. RC I thought spoke more on various topics and appears his comment when he mentioned first responders has set some people off. I did not see what he said in a negative way. I got that he talked about first responders doing jobs that are dangerous and talked about football as a game that is ultimately entertainment for fans, but it is a very dangerous and violent game. That is all I got of it.

I am in my late 50's and remember the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears game from 1971 when Chuck Hughes died on the field with about 1 minute left in the game. The game went on and the players were told he was dead. Of course, that game was a regional game and it was covered by Cosell on Monday Night Football highlights, which back then was the only way you got highlights from the games you did not get to see live. Until next week when the NFL' This week in the NFL reviewed all the previous weeks games.

Does anyone think that had Hamlin died (he is still on critical condition), it would be good for the NFL to play the game? That which flew in 1971 is not going to fly in 2023. It is a freaking football game.

What did Ryan Clark think about the American Airlines worker that got sucked through an aircraft engine?

Sometimes I can’t believe idiots like Clark get paid million to spew their bullshite.

LSU has a good bit of alums in the national media when you think about it. Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, Booger McFarland, Shaq, Jen Hale. Sure I'm missing others

If he was a commentator about airlines and saw a crash,he would talk about it.

Clark doesn't make anything close to a million dollars a year at espn. I doubt he makes 100,000 a year.

This is correct and those that think or feel otherwise, are just reaching for reasons to bash the man.

Clark did have an experience that took him off the field that you all remember and his comments on players wanting to continue to play was spot on. That’s all they know and it is a business that they never want to leave.

When you hang up your cleats for the last time from playing a meaningful organized sport (not just some pick-up league), you’re sad and it’s very hard letting go. At least it was for me.

Here's the difference between Booger and Ryan:

One of them has checked his social media in the last 6 hours to see how much love he is getting.

Ok, fine, but that’s not what Clark was trying to do. He was trying to make it seem like the poor players are just pawns put on earth to entertain the masses and no one thinks of them as human beings which is UTTER bullshite based on how the public is responding to this incident.

I have no idea what Clark’s contract is worth, but saying you doubt it’s over $100k feels quite bold.
