Slow down. LSU is coming off it’s worst season in 20 years. Hopefully these hires are home runs. I like the freeman hire if it gets done.

You should more than like the freeman hire. If he comes and the defense sucks next year it’s the players fault, I feel confident saying that before he even calls a game.

He lured Linehan. A miss.
He lured Pelini. A miss.
He lured Cregg. A miss.
He lured Joseph. A massive miss.
He didn't lure Brady. That was Ensminger.
He didn't lure Burrow. That was Busch.
Peetz and Mangas look good on paper, but are unproven at the jobs they were hired for.
Freeman would be a good hire on paper.

You cite all these swing n misses, yet fail to grasp how hard a natty is from the SEC West launch pad much less the greatest team in NCAA history.
I am not pleased with 2020 but the fact is he faced some pretty nontypical situations. Sure, bama/Clemson/OSU reload every year but this was 2020 and show me where they faced defections and conditions remotely similar. And, O is not Saban. No one is. The Bear wasn’t.
When O closed out with two damn quality wins with a short handed team, I came back around.

This is absolutely false. Busch made the initial contact but O sold the Burrows on LSU.
