I can't bring my kids to a game because of it.

It is TOTALLY OUT OF HAND.

We can't play Tiger Rag because of it

Profanity will slip up. It happens, but to constantly be dropping F-bombs all game, that should be reserved for the student section or around there.

Cursing around little kids all game is classless.

"Family friendly atmosphere" has ruined the NBA for me, everytime I go to a game, its geared towards families and bringing out 10 yr old kids to shoot baskets... so awful.

Our younger generations are getting dumber and dumber. Their vocabulary is literally shrinking. I teach high school, and I hear the most vile and disgusting language in the hallways and classrooms, loudly and proudly spoken. This carries over into our college youth... And do not give me the "we talked like that when we were young, too." Some did, but not this many. And MOST who did did not throw it around in front of teachers and other adults like these kids do.

It is sickening...

There was a man 3 rows above us screaming the F-word because he was upset. My brother and I stood up and turned around and told he to stop. Surprisingly, he did enjoy the rest of the game without dropping anymore F-bombs. Most of the people in our section were happy we said something. Do not be afraid to speak up, most people are thinking the same thing you are.

I love how the baby boomers think they have any credibility criticizing "younger" generations.

The worst generation in this country history is going to blame "younger" generations for being a direct product of their screwed up policies and priorities.

You're right, of course. But it's always going to happen in a place as passionate as Tiger Stadium. I'm not hesitant to remind somebody to watch their language if there's a little kid nearby. Nobody should be dropping f-bombs with a small child sitting nearby. I've been a season ticketholder for 15 years and have never had to remind somebody more than once about language. Just point to the kid. The profanity stops.

Not sure how you define everywhere, but not in my work place, not in my home, not at my kids school, not at my church, don't hear it when I go to the mall, never had a sales person use it when trying to make a sale,

there are 90K plus at each of these locations when you're there? Popular fellow you are.

You can't legislate your morals to everyone. It won't stick. The numbers are not on your side.

with that many people there drinking/drunk, it's closer to a really big arse bar than you think.

The majority of people at the games are drunk, ignorant college kids. I am not being mean, that's just what it is. That is what college football is about and it won't change. If you complain about it that much, give your tickets up and don't go anymore. There should not even be a thread about this.

Most of the obnoxious people around my seats are guys in their late 30s/early 40s.

The best thing about college kids is that 95% of them sit in one section.

don't hold your breath on that. For all the complaining, they'll keep the tickets and, well, keep on complaining.

I dont cuss at the games. I have a few times when a call pissed me off and I just let it out. I don't cuss every other word though.

i'm not saying it's right. i don't like that i curse a lot of times. however, these people bashing other people for it happening are no better.

do you put a blind fold over your childs eye's and keep ear muphs on them prior to the game? the girls in their skimpy clothes, the beer pong, the suggestive music blasting, the one finger solutes, the go to hell ole miss chants, the rip rip rip, rap rap rap, ole miss women got the ---- cheers.

what's more offensive? reality is, if you think you are sheltering your kid, you have your head in the sand. they here, see, and do much worse at school. i've yet to see a kid reach adult hood without hearing a curse word.

by all means, don't let them on the internet or even the o-t lounge!

That's a good thing.

However, you can't just expect everyone else to be like you.

Spot on. Many of the ones that werent acid dropping socialists were outright racists. Not a blanket statement, but there is truth to it. Then they grew up into helicopter parents.

Their generation invented the "best friend/parent" idea that has led so many in our generation astray.
